If I am a writer today, I owe it to the teachers I had and to the books I read. My earliest memory of Brighter Grammar comes from when I was around the age of 7. It was used to teach my mom and was also used to teach me.
Sadly Pheabean Ogundipe is dead. She died on Friday, March 27th. She was aged 92.
It would be reading the editorial that I would even know that P. A. Ogundipe was female.
As a child you don’t think about the authors of the books you read.
Thanks for everything.
